Well, August is here. That means traditional US Summer is more than half gone! How? Why? Where has it gone?!? But I shouldn’t complain. Things are going well and it’s been a decent Summer so far…not that much has actually happened in my world. LOL! I just love the long, sunny days (which I feel the need to point out the ridiculous amount of rain this year) and I actually enjoy the heat…as long as there is air conditioning. 😉 Since July has past, we all know that means it’s time for another Cruelty Free Favorites! I’m not going to pretend that I wore much makeup throughout the month, but I have been trying a lot of new skincare in a surprisingly successful attempt to battle to onslaught of dryness brought about by Accutane. I should probably call this my “Cruelty Free Skincare Favorites.” LOL! But there’s some great skincare that I’ve been loving in July as well as a few food stuffs. So sit back, relax, and I’ll try to keep it brief…at least as much as I’m capable! LOL!
Happy official first Favorites of Summer!!! ☀️ I cannot believe that June is already coming to an end. I know, stereotypical blogger Favorites opening. 😜 It’s so true though! Seriously, where is the year going?!?! Enough! I have a lot of favorites from June so I’m not going to ramble…too much! 😉 We’ve got some hair care, skin care, SPF – good and bad – body care, makeup and something kinda random. So let’s get into it!!!
In case you haven’t heard, there’s a new affordable cruelty free brand on the market – The Ordinary! Though mainly known for their skincare (which I’ve also been loving btw!), they recently blew the makeup world away by introducing what they call “Colours,” aka Foundations! There is a Serum Foundation and a Coverage Foundation – both setting you back less than $7 per 30mL bottle!!! How great can a $7 foundation actually be? Let’s just stick with the Serum Foundation for today. So, keep on reading to hear my thoughts with before and after photos about The Ordinary’s new Serum Foundation!
***Quick Note on Cruelty Free Status: Deciem (The Ordinary’s parent company) has entered into a “partnership” with Estee Lauder. To read the details, check out the Founder’s letter about the “marriage” here. In my eyes, Deciem remains cruelty free, but this is up to you to decide.
Ah skincare! Something I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with. 😄 Since this may be my last post before starting Accutane (not entirely sure, but my next dermatologist appointment is around the corner!), I thought I would do the Best of Skincare TAG that’s been going around the blogging / YouTube world in recent days! It’s a really great tag (if you’re unaware what a “tag” is, it’s really just a bunch of set questions that people answer and ask others to do as well…you know, like the game of tag! 😉) that I believe was created by ttsandra and MakeupTIA on YouTube. These have been so wonderfully interesting to watch lately, so I figured why not take the opportunity to go over some of my favorite skincare products pre-Accutane! 😀 Lord knows I’ve tried a lot of different skincare over the years. So instead of rambling on, let’s just get to the question and answer portion of the post, shall we? 😜
Ok. We’re back to the “Where the hell did March go?” kinda Favorites introduction again. 😜 But seriously. What happened to March? It went crazy fast and it wasn’t even that busy for me. I think it must be because I got sick at the very beginning of the month…I think it was March. 😄 But on to the point – it’s March Favorites time!!! 🎉 We’re gonna go through all the things I’ve been loving this month (at least the things that I haven’t mentioned recently). I haven’t really been wearing a lot of makeup, but as always, that hasn’t eliminated the favorites. 😉 And as a friendly reminder, we’re still in the midst of Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty which always makes March more exciting…not to mention there should be a Sephora Rouge/VIB discount coming up as well!!! If you missed the cruelty free steals happening at Ulta, I have a post detailing them all here. But let’s get back to the point and just jump into the crème de la crème from March! 😆
