Bring out the confetti because it’s time for the fun stuff – Cruelty Free Makeup! I’m gonna keep this to a minimum because there’s a lot that goes into making up one’s face…and it takes a while. 😄 We’re only going to start with complexion products to prevent this from taking days to read. This was perhaps the strangest part of makeup for me in 2017 because, as some of you will know, I started on Accutane mid-year. That means that I started the year with combo-to-oily skin and ended it with super dry, sensitive and dehydrated skin. Not surprisingly, a lot of what worked at one point was awful during the other half of the year. And if I’m being 100% honest here, I’m still hunting for a foundation that looks ok on my dry skin. Actually if I’m fair, I have never found the perfect foundation ever. It either doesn’t exist or I just hate the look of my skin! 😄 Alright. I’ve already gone on a tangent. Let’s just get into some of the Best Cruelty Free Makeup Products for Complexion from 2017!
The wrapping paper has been strewn around the living room. The anticipation of a New Year is upon us and our pants are all feeling just a bit more snug. All sure fire signs that it’s time for some Cruelty Free December Favorites!!! For me, it’s been a strange month, but one of some great beauty products…and there’s mostly makeup for a change! 😜 It’s not been a bad month, just unusual. But we’re not gonna waste time on some fancy intro, so let’s just get into the good stuff, shall we?
How is it Summertime already?! I remember when I was a little kid and every school year took for-ev-er, but now? Months go by like weeks! Anyway, I love Summer so I’m really happy to see the sun shining bright, longer days, and oh how I enjoy the hot sticky goodness that’s still to come! Hmmm. That sounded a bit obscene, no? I don’t mean it that way! 😜 I’m just a fan of warm weather. I find 80 degrees to be damn near perfection! 😆 I think I’m weird that way, but I love Summer! Why the hell am I rambling on about Summer when I’m trying to get to my May Favorites? 😂 That’s right, it’s time for all the things I’ve been loving throughout May!!! 🎉
It’s the second most wonderful time of the year for those of us with massive Sephora addictions! 😝 That’s right! The Sephora VIB Sale is almost here!!! I thought I would go through some of my favorite cruelty free products available at Sephora to give you a few recommendations while considering what new goodies to pick up this go-round. Real quick, the details as I understand them are that the sale runs from April 18th through the 24th for VIB Rouge members and your discount will be 15% off of everything as many times as you choose to shop in that time frame! Similarly, VIB member will receive 15% off between April 19th and 24th, while Beauty Insiders will be getting 10% off from April 20th through April 23rd. If you’re one of these lucky Sephora Insider members, you should receive a card in the mail as well as a code in your email that can be used over and over again during the above mentioned dates! There has also been some fantastic cruelty free news: Tashina from Logical Harmony has confirmed that Smashbox and Marc Jacobs Beauty (not the fragrances) have been added to her cruelty free list (Stila‘s back too)!!! Discounts and new brands and cruelty free goodness, oh my! 😜 Enough silliness, let’s get to the recommendations (linked to reviews if I have one). 😉
Not only am I shocked and horrified that it’s already October, but I managed to spot some Christmas merch at the grocery store today! ? Yes folks! September has come to a shockingly fast close, which means it’s time for another Cruelty Free Favorites post! I don’t feel like I have a ton of favorites to go over, but I’m sure this will be long as always despite that. ? Instead of me rambling about nothing, let’s get on to me rambling about the products I loved in the month of September! ?
We’ve all been there. You wake up late. You’re not going anywhere important. Basically you don’t really feel like going to the trouble of putting on makeup, but you still want to look at least somewhat pulled together. On days like these, I seem to have a very different set of go-to products than my “I feel like making the effort” days. It’s not necessarily fewer products, but rather a lighter look accomplished in less time. I thought I’d share what I use to feel a bit more polished on those days when just brushing your teeth feels like a chore. 😉
