Well, August is here. That means traditional US Summer is more than half gone! How? Why? Where has it gone?!? But I shouldn’t complain. Things are going well and it’s been a decent Summer so far…not that much has actually happened in my world. LOL! I just love the long, sunny days (which I feel the need to point out the ridiculous amount of rain this year) and I actually enjoy the heat…as long as there is air conditioning. 😉 Since July has past, we all know that means it’s time for another Cruelty Free Favorites! I’m not going to pretend that I wore much makeup throughout the month, but I have been trying a lot of new skincare in a surprisingly successful attempt to battle to onslaught of dryness brought about by Accutane. I should probably call this my “Cruelty Free Skincare Favorites.” LOL! But there’s some great skincare that I’ve been loving in July as well as a few food stuffs. So sit back, relax, and I’ll try to keep it brief…at least as much as I’m capable! LOL!
Cruelty Free June Beauty Favorites (& a Fail!)
Happy official first Favorites of Summer!!! ☀️ I cannot believe that June is already coming to an end. I know, stereotypical blogger Favorites opening. 😜 It’s so true though! Seriously, where is the year going?!?! Enough! I have a lot of favorites from June so I’m not going to ramble…too much! 😉 We’ve got some hair care, skin care, SPF – good and bad – body care, makeup and something kinda random. So let’s get into it!!!
Best of Skincare TAG – Cruelty Free Edition!
Ah skincare! Something I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with. 😄 Since this may be my last post before starting Accutane (not entirely sure, but my next dermatologist appointment is around the corner!), I thought I would do the Best of Skincare TAG that’s been going around the blogging / YouTube world in recent days! It’s a really great tag (if you’re unaware what a “tag” is, it’s really just a bunch of set questions that people answer and ask others to do as well…you know, like the game of tag! 😉) that I believe was created by ttsandra and MakeupTIA on YouTube. These have been so wonderfully interesting to watch lately, so I figured why not take the opportunity to go over some of my favorite skincare products pre-Accutane! 😀 Lord knows I’ve tried a lot of different skincare over the years. So instead of rambling on, let’s just get to the question and answer portion of the post, shall we? 😜
April’s Cruelty Free Beauty Favorites!
Wow! What a month April was! I feel like so much has happened, but I couldn’t even begin to remember what. 😂 It’s been a good makeup month, if for no other reason there was the Sephora VIB Sale as well as a ton of Friends and Family sales…not to mention I am an Ulta Platinum member which gave me a 20% off coupon too! I guess not a great month for makeup lovers’ wallets! 💸 The stuff I’ve acquired is still being tested out (admittedly I have yet to even touch a lot of it!), though there is at least one that’s already a favorite. 😉 So without further ado, let’s get to my Cruelty Free Favorites for the month of April!!!
Farmacy Clear Bloom Cleansing Oil – Blooming Good?
Farmacy is a brand that’s relatively new to Sephora. Being the curious-about-all-things-beauty-person that I am, I was intrigued. Farmacy is a small New York-based company that uses local farm fresh ingredients and cosmetic experts to create non-irritating products. All of the products are based around their patent-pending EchinaceaGreenEnvy, a potent form of Echinacea Purpurea that is rich in antioxidants. The first thing that caught my eye, and I felt would be least problematic for my acne-prone skin, is the Clear Bloom Glideaway Cleansing Oil. Naturally I decided I needed to try it! I am so glad I did because, though there is a slight learning curve, it is my new favorite way to remove makeup! Let’s get into the pros and cons so you can determine if it’s right for you! 🙂
