I am a huge fan of the Antonym Certified Organic Baked Blushes, so I was absolutely thrilled when I saw the new Antonym Skin Esteem Organic Liquid Foundation pop up on Sephora’s site a while back. I choked a bit at the $52 price tag, but wasn’t that surprised as Antonym tends to be priced a bit higher than a lot of “high-end” Sephora brands that I would typically gravitate towards. I guess I kind of expect that since the brand uses more “natural” and organic ingredients. I figured that there’s no better time to try it than the VIB Sale (clearly I’ve had it a while), so I crossed my fingers and picked a shade. I went with Beige Medium Light and hoped that I not only loved the formula, but also got the correct shade! (Spoiler: it’s a bit too deep, but it still works.) I have been testing out the foundation on and off and have some thoughts, though not a definitive opinion. So if you’re looking to learn more about what you’re getting with the Antonym Skin Esteem Organic Liquid Foundation, you’ve come to the right place!
Bring out the confetti because it’s time for the fun stuff – Cruelty Free Makeup! I’m gonna keep this to a minimum because there’s a lot that goes into making up one’s face…and it takes a while. 😄 We’re only going to start with complexion products to prevent this from taking days to read. This was perhaps the strangest part of makeup for me in 2017 because, as some of you will know, I started on Accutane mid-year. That means that I started the year with combo-to-oily skin and ended it with super dry, sensitive and dehydrated skin. Not surprisingly, a lot of what worked at one point was awful during the other half of the year. And if I’m being 100% honest here, I’m still hunting for a foundation that looks ok on my dry skin. Actually if I’m fair, I have never found the perfect foundation ever. It either doesn’t exist or I just hate the look of my skin! 😄 Alright. I’ve already gone on a tangent. Let’s just get into some of the Best Cruelty Free Makeup Products for Complexion from 2017!
The wrapping paper has been strewn around the living room. The anticipation of a New Year is upon us and our pants are all feeling just a bit more snug. All sure fire signs that it’s time for some Cruelty Free December Favorites!!! For me, it’s been a strange month, but one of some great beauty products…and there’s mostly makeup for a change! 😜 It’s not been a bad month, just unusual. But we’re not gonna waste time on some fancy intro, so let’s just get into the good stuff, shall we?
***This post was written before the recent disaster in Texas, so please don’t think I’m ignoring it or being insensitive. If you are interested in more information regarding ways to help in the wake of such tragedy, please see yesterday’s post. And we now resume our regular programming….
This has been the strangest Summer. The weather has been absolutely bizarre. At this point, I almost feel like Fall is already here…and much to my shock, I’m not entirely upset by that! As September rolls around, I’m finding myself looking forward to all the fun things about Fall – the food, the pretty leaves (even though they’re a dying sign that winter is coming), the berry-hued lips. Yes friends, I may be turning into a Fall loving convert! Then again, I am still an absolute Summer lover too. Anyway, this is all a long way of saying that today’s post is dedicated to my Cruelty Free August Favorites!!! Much like last month, I haven’t been wearing much makeup. Still, I have come across some fantastic beauty products that I want to share. So let’s see what they are!
