Today we’re reviewing a weird product. I knew it was unusual going into it, but I found it intriguing despite all the snickering I saw online. I’m talking about the new Urban Decay Lo-Fi Lip Mousse. These are essentially waterproof lip stains in solid form. I absolutely love the idea of lip stains, but they tend to be on the streaky side and are almost always incredibly drying. So color me strange, but I found the concept of the new Vegan Lip Mousse intriguing. Naturally that curiosity convinced me to buy it. So, let’s talk about it because I have some definite thoughts! 😜
Not too long ago, Tarte introduced a new line and formula of lipsticks. I must say that if there is one area where Tarte has always left a bit to be desired, it’s lipsticks. Well, enter the Rainforest of the Sea Color Splash Lipsticks! Not to ruin my thoughts, but I think Tarte has finally come up with a fantastic formula that ticks pretty much every box! 😆 I’m not going to lie, I was really drawn to these by the absolutely stunning packaging! 😍 It’s Summer personified with the coolest, prettiest beachy vibe. Absolutely nailed the packaging! And the formula…well, I’ve spoiled things a bit, but let’s get into the nitty gritty details! 😉
Good news for all you International babes out there…ColourPop is now shipping overseas (minus Turkey & China)!!! I absolutely adore ColourPop, though I am constantly frustrated with their never ending roll outs of this and that’s (KathleenLights from YouTube literally just released another collab with them). The good news is that it’s pretty hard to truly break the bank with ColourPop and they have so many options – both in color choice and in type of products! If you’re looking for fantastic, fun, and affordable color cosmetics, you needn’t look further than ColourPop! I tried doing an Overview of ColourPop before, but the brand has grown so much even since then that I feel a need to update a bit. So, to help all of you who may be new to the brand, I’m going to try and give a bit of an overview of the brand’s offerings and mention some of my favorite formulas and colors. Try may be the key word here as there is always a lot to cover! 😉
I feel like I’ve been raving about the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks a fair amount recently so I figure it’s about time to review them! With the recent/impending release of the Hot Lips Collection, I figure there’s no time like the present. If you’re unfamiliar with Charlotte Tilbury, she is an amazing British makeup artist that now has her own cruelty free high-end range. There is a bit of skincare thrown in with some brushes (which I suspect are natural hair) and a lot of makeup, and all of the items I’ve tried are amazing! Best of all in my eyes? The Matte Revolution Lipsticks! 😉
If you’re like me and read a lot of beauty blogs or watch a lot of YouTube beauty videos, you surely have noticed that certain products are mentioned over and over and over again. They get a lot of buzz! One always wonders if those products are really as good as they seem, or if there’s just some kind of mob mentality keeping everyone enamored with the same so-so products. Always curious about the next best thing, I often find myself trying those “it” products of the moment just to see if they’re really everything my mind has made them out to be. Well, today we’re going to go through five of those very products that doindeed live up to every glowing review, each overly enthusiastic video and even, of all things, most of the products’ own claims! 🙂 Without further ado, I bring you 5 Cruelty Free Products WORTH the Hype!
If you read last week’s post, you’ll know that I went to the Bite Beauty Lip Lab in NYC a couple of months ago and created my own custom shades of lipstick! I had a great time and came out with far too many great lipsticks made to my specifications. I shared the experience, but not the shades themselves. As promised, today we’re going to look at the actual shades I created! Again, I apologize for breaking this into two parts, but the experience post was already so long. For this post, I don’t have a lot more to add other than photos so let’s just look at the colors! 🙂
