The clocks have ticked forward, the sun is shining longer, and – despite the snow currently on the ground here – Spring is just around the corner! 😃 If you’re an avid beauty shopper like myself, you know what that must mean…Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty for Spring 2017 is just around the corner!!! 🎊 If you’re unfamiliar with this event, twice a year Ulta brings us fantastic prices on all kinds of beauty products that rarely, if ever, go on sale. These deals almost always are for a single day only, so you’ve got to hurry for those wildly popular products. Of course not all the deals are on cruelty free products, but many are and I’m going to share all the cruelty free details with you today…plus some tips and a few ways to get the most bang for your bucks! 🎉

We’ll start with a few tips for shopping during this semi-annual event. First things first – shop as early as you can because many things will sell out! Consider yourself warned. Fortunately for those who are super spendy Ulta Platinum Members (like myself), all orders of sale items have shipped for free in the past when ordered online – and yes, all of the deals are always available to everyone (unless reward-level specific) online and in stores. The sale pricing has usually kicked off each day around 11pm EST and, bonus tip, there is a bit of overlap on the discount pricing of the item on sale that day as well as the upcoming (11pm release) sale item! Another thing of note – there is a limit of 2 identical items per deal. So say you’re looking to buy the Too Faced Love Flush Blushes on March 19th and you would like 1 of each shade. No problem! If you want 3 or more of any one of the shades though, you’re limited to two of that shade. Also, always check your Ulta emails (make sure you’ve signed up here) for extra previously un-promoted deals because they do happen. Occasionally an unmentioned item will also pop up online as well (especially when that day’s deal has run out of stock). Last thing specific to the sale is that there are many deals that run throughout the entirety of the sale. Those things will be included and noted as such here, but still don’t wait too long as these can sell out too. Best word of advice sale-wide is: act fast! 😄

One last money saving tip (sort of) has to do with Ulta’s rewards program. I highly recommend that you sign up for this program if you haven’t already. I have a post detailing how I ordered a ton of makeup for almost nothing out-of-pocket. The gist is that from using Ulta’s rewards program and hoarding my points, I was able to save a crap ton of money on my order. If you’re unfamiliar, unlike Sephora’s points system where you can redeem points for tiny products, Ulta’s rewards program allows you to earn points on every dollar spent and then redeem your points for money off of a future purchase! The more you have, the more value each point actually gains and the more money you can deduct from an order. It’s fantastic and I wish Sephora would switch to something similar. If you’re not already signed up, you can do so with my referral link here, or simply look for the rewards section on Ulta’s website. This is not sponsored in any way but if you use my link, I do receive some points that will almost certainly be used for obtaining more “research” material and I greatly appreciate it, but no hurt feelings if you would rather not use the link.

In a similar vein, I also highly recommend using Ebates for your online purchases. Ebates is much like Ulta’s rewards program in that you receive a percentage of each purchase back, but from all purchases from sites that work with Ebates (they have 100s of stores beyond just Ulta, Sephora, Nordstrom, Macy’s, & on…and on…). The difference here, aside from the variety of stores to shop from, is that they will actually send you cold hard cash either via check or direct deposit into your PayPal account. To use it, you need to either go to the Ebates site and click on a store you’re shopping at first (you’re then redirected to the store of interest’s normal site), or you can download a button to your browser’s tool bar which will actually give you a pop-up notice when you’re shopping on a site that works with Ebates. Simply click on the pop up button and you’re going to receive cash back! I’ve been using this program for years now and I can confirm it is indeed legitimate and there are no strings attached. Again, I have a referreral link that you can use, or you can just visit the Ebates site to sign up. If you use my referral link, you’ll get $10 I believe just for signing up (you may have to make a minimum purchase, but I can’t find the info on their site). Absolutely consider joining Ebates if you haven’t already because it’s a great joy to find an unplanned deposit of money from Ebates in my PayPal account every quarter. 🎉

Ok. Done with the public service announcements. On to the actual cruelty free deals! 😃 You can always check Ulta’s site here for all of the Daily Deals as well.
