Hurraw! I’ve found a new favorite lip balm! 🙂 I’ve been searching for a vegan lip balm that actually seems to help my often dry lips for what feels like ages now. A while ago, I reviewed my prior favorite – the Badger Cocoa Butter Lip Balm – and haven’t found anything that seemed to work better. I tried the Hurraw! Lip Balm quite some time ago during my love affair with the Badger, but somehow the love never stuck. What’s different now? I tried a different flavor and it’s made all the difference! 🙂 So why is it so wonderful? Keep on reading and I’ll try to explain….

First things first – a bit about Hurraw! These lip balms are all natural and vegan. They are made with only raw, organic and fair trade ingredients, and they are hand poured one by one in their own facility in the US! According to their website, Hurraw!’s goal was to create a balm that is “Super smooth, not draggy, not sticky, not too sweet, not too glossy, not too smelly, never grainy, long lasting; plus, it had to hold up to being in a back jeans pocket all day without melting.” That’s quite a rigorous list of requirements! Having used my newly beloved Hurraw! Coconut Lip Balm, I would say, melting issues aside because I haven’t really kept it in my pocket for long, it actually does meet all the criteria! 🙂

Gosh! What more do you say after stating that it meets all those claims? I guess I’ll tell you my evolution from “meh” to “best balm ever!” Initially I was using the Chai Spice flavor, which I will admit is delicious, but it’s a bit odd to apply all day under all circumstances. It’s dead on Chai Spice, but it’s a strong flavor. I found that I would go to drink or eat something and the Chai Spice taste would mix with whatever I was ingesting. Didn’t really work well with everything. And so I tended to pass on the Hurraw! For something less intensely flavored. Not willing to give up on the brand because I loved the concept so much, I eventually decided to try the Coconut flavor. Though still an intense coconut scent and taste, the flavor seems to fade better and definitely interferes less with other foods and beverages. Therefore, I kept using it. And here we are months later with me absolutely loving this balm! 🙂

Hurraw! certainly has a soft formula. It’s not so soft that it mushes or must be applied with your finger, but it is soft and not at all waxy. It’s basically the exact opposite of the Badger Cocoa Butter formula. The Hurraw! does not skip, tug or pull at all as it’s applied. It glides on almost like butter…but without a greasy sensation. It’s absolutely beautiful! It is very comfortable on the lips and actually seems to soften and hydrate. It also does not feel as though it’s just sitting on top of the lips kind of protecting, but not really benefiting the lips as so many other balms seem to do. I feel like Hurraw!’s balms actually work! Novel concept, eh? 🙂

In addition to the amazing formula, there are an absolute ton of flavors (24 to be precise!), including unscented, to choose from! If you can’t find something you like, then you’re probably out of luck with all lip balms. I will again emphasize that the flavors are pretty intense. You will taste them! You can also smell them, but both the scent and the flavor will wear away as you wear them. However, the nice protective and hydrating balm feeling will remain! I do have to reapply now and then, but no more than any other lip balm…in fact it’s probably less often. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed by the Hurraw! flavors and obviously I’m highly recommending that you give them a try! 😉

Let me know what your favorite lip balm is because I know everyone seems to have a different preference. Obviously I’m partial to the Hurraw! Lip Balms, but I do know that everyone is different. Since I love these so much, I felt the need to share my thoughts and try to give you a bit more information about the balms so you can determine if they’re something for you too! 🙂

As always, thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon!

love and stuff,
