I know this may be a bit late, but I’ve been planning to post my Top 10 Cruelty Free Lipsticks Under $10 for Fall for quite a while now. It’s just taken me forever to make up my mind and narrow it down! JTechnically it is still Fall and I would say that pretty much any of these colors are fantastic for Winter as well, so I think it’s still appropriate. And, perhaps best of all, they’re all under $10 (ok there’s one cheat, but it’s oftenunder $10)! Of course they’re cruelty free as well. How can you go wrong? J This post only focuses on the colors and swatches, but I may do a second post discussing the formulas a bit. Let me know if you’re interested in that kind of post. Also, I have included info about parent companies at the end since I know that makes a difference to some as to a cruelty free status. I’m excited to get on with things, so let’s look at the shades and the swatches!!! J

So there you have it for my Top 10 Cruelty Free Lipstick Under $10. I hope you enjoyed and please leave a comment with any of your own favorites as well. I feel like I don’t give inexpensive products enough attention on the blog, so I will try to do more posts like this in the future if you’ve enjoyed it. I know it can be difficult to find inexpensive cruelty free makeup, and I must admit that I tend to gravitate to the pricey alternatives that can be easier to find and more consistent in quality. There are many gems out there, and I find lipsticks are some of the most fun! JI hope you enjoyed this as much as I did putting it together and I hope to see you around next time!!! J

Cruelty Free / Parent Company Information:
Burt’s Bees’parent company is Clorox, but Burt’s Bees remains cruelty free.
NYX Cosmetics has been purchased by L’Oreal, but at least for now remains cruelty free.
Milani, which is the parent company of Jordana, has been the subject of some debate recently. On Milani’s website they state that, “Milani Cosmetics is a cruelty-free brand. We do not test our products on animals, nor do we allow others to test on our behalf. Additionally, we require our suppliers to certify that the raw materials used in the manufacture of our products are not tested on animals. Our Brand is certified by both PETA and The Leaping Bunny Program (CCIC)as cruelty-free.” Some cruelty free bloggers like Tashina from Logical Harmony take issue with Milani’s & Jordana’s claims. For more on that, check out Tashina’s post here.
The Body Shop is owned by L’Oreal, but has remained cruelty free.
Flower Beauty is cruelty free.
Wet n Wild is cruelty free.

oh myyyyy, redwood forest is stunning! I've been hunting down those burts bees lippies for ages, but haven't been able to find them…and I live right outside of Durham NC (where they make burts bees products)!!!

  7. I think Redwood Forest is one of my favorites too. It's different. It's almost one of those ugly reds, but it works! It took me a while to find the lip crayons, but finally they seem to have them near me at both Target & CVS. I was seeing others with them for ages before they showed up though.

  9. Thanks Martha! I'm glad you agree. 🙂 Do you have a favorite of the ones you have? I can't imagine picking just one, but I'd love to know what some of your favs are!

  11. I really love Cranberry Crush and Rose Bud. Sugar Plum Fairy is cool too but I find that it's a little more drying, so my lips have to be in tip-top exfoliated shape to use it, lol

  13. Great picks! 🙂 I saw your post where you mentioned that Rose Bud might be a dupe for Hourglass' Icon. I keep meaning to compare the two since I have the Icon Lip Gloss and Liquid Lipstick. It's such a pretty red! 🙂 I agree that Sugar Plum Fairy isn't the greatest formula in terms of moisture, but it's so pretty and it lasts well! The color is one of my favs too though. 🙂
